I experience this problem frequently. It usually occurs shortly after my
screen fades from inactivity. I am attaching a backtrace of a recent
crash.
At the point of the crash, these two lines appeared in gdb:
(rhythmbox:24997): GLib-CRITICAL **: g_str_has_prefix: assertion `str !=
NULL' failed
