Since I deleted the revelation config file it worked again.
Here, the file is located in:
.gnome2/revelation
the content only has one line.
Dock=searchbar\\0,2,0,0\\Toolbar\\0,1,0,0\\Menubar\\0,0,0,0

Since a long list of users have subscribed to this bug, we obviously need
someone to fix it.
Unfortunately revelation hasn't been developed since a long time.
There doesn't seem to be any alternative Gnome based password manager (besides
Gnome keyring, which is a different business) so it would
