I've updated from EDGY. All worked fine until the day i've updated installing
2.6.20-9 Kernel and all Xorg updates.
I've got some problems about xserver-xorg-core because it said that i couldn't
overwrite a file that was in common with xserver-xgl (xserver-xgl i've
downloaded from Ubuntu forums. The package was the first version made for xorg
7.2).
I've removed all xorg and reinstalled it.
I've updated all xorg without problems.
After that day all KDE apps under Ubuntu are slow and even if i start a
new session with KDE it's tremendously slow and other users in Ubuntu
forum noticed this problem (Just the slowing part).
For example:
i open Kopete and (After a while, it's not as fast as it was first in the
initial loading) when i set "Online status" i see 100% processor busy and the
Kopete window that slowly updates.
It starts drawing very slowly the "Tree" structure that you can use for expand
and collapse groups and, after that, contacts start to appeare really slow.
They still remain a little transparent because the drawing it's not complete.
Kopete continues to updates very slowly. You can't use and you can only close
it (After a while; clicking with right mouse button on tray icon it's still a
slow operation to do).
