StewartM, this bug was reported a while ago and there hasn't been any
activity in it recently. We were wondering if this is still an issue? If
so, could you please test for this with the latest development release
of Ubuntu? ISO images are available from http://cdimage.ubuntu.com

I've upgraded to 11.10 and still have the same crashes when logging in.
I will install the proposed 3.0.0-15.24 kernel from the -proposed
repositories and see how it goes.

Joe, I'm thinking of upgrading to 11.10 this weekend. But as 11.10 still
apparently, has the bug, I could implement that patch.
(Unless you want me to keep 11.04 for testing).
