most of its downloads. I've been working on this release several hours
a day for the past month or so to try to get it in so that feisty
wouldn't ship with a horribly broken Deluge.

now decently reliable and more feature-full than the actual torrent
client in Ubuntu : that should be enough for a place in the repos.

svn checkout also but even that did not work for me. I did delete the

torrent client I have found and is far superior to the bloated and
outdated Azureus client (sorry but true). Deluge is clean and works

The changes are rather large and none of the ChangeLog entries talk
about the crashers we see these days in Ubuntu. Would you agree on
asking back in the bug reports if 0.5 fixes the issues?

I'll look into it, and see if the new code fixes these issues. The
problem is that now some completely different bugs have been cropping
up. While the one persistent bug in 0.5 is a relatively easy fix
(removing your .state file and loading a clean state of Deluge), it can
be rather annoying. Bo
I do seriously hope this does go in feisty. The only application which
has been stopping me from moving fully onto ubuntu. I hate the UI of
ktorrent while deluge feels nice, homely. There are only few things
which I would like to see :-
1. Encryption support:- supposed to be in the upcoming releas
Please include this in Feisty this version is so much improved over the
.4 series.

I would appreciate Deluge 0.5 being included in feisty. It is the best
torrent client I have found and is far superior to the bloated and
outdated Azureus client (sorry but true). Deluge is clean and works
great, so lets update it to its latest version please!

It is difficult, because while it is not a major package, it is not
likely to break much, but given it is not a major package, is it worth
the risk?
Having said that, I'd support including it for the different featureset
and so we have something easily available for the GNOME desktop that
measures
I'm worried more about the risk of leaving 0.4 in, as it does corrupt
most of its downloads. I've been working on this release several hours
a day for the past month or so to try to get it in so that feisty
wouldn't ship with a horribly broken Deluge.

I have to agree. 0.4, while functional, has some serious flaws.
Upgrading to 0.5 would be a significant improvement, even with bugs.

I think either .5 should go in or .4 should just come out. So far, .5
works great, but .4 is a bit too buggy.

Including the latest release in Ubuntu would make it much easier on the authors
to keep going forward then to be maintaining a buggy previous release.
