Public bug reported: Under Linux, ebook-viewer lacks a .desktop file. This means it is not picked up by Gnome as an application that can be associated with a file type.
Creating a .desktop file and placing it in /usr/share/applications allows me to associate .epub files with ebook-viewer so that I can quickly open and read them on my desktop. It would be great if this could be added to the default install so that other people can easily use this very useful application. I will attach the .desktop file I have been using to do this locally.
