I don't think so. Unlike the bug 1018020, skype and other programs are
working fine, it's only cheese that's failing with this one.
Unfortunately so far only cheese has the features I want out of

Problems discovered with webcamera after it failed in Skype as well.
After reboot, the webcam resumed functioning, and this error no longer
occurs.
