I hope someone could explain to me how to install the latest development
kernel into a live pen drive, so I can try if the problem is still
present. I think this bug will affect a lot of people with nvidia cards.

Ok, what worked for me is adding "intel_iommu=off" as a boot parameter.

The corrupt video and system freeze make this sound like a kernel
