Public bug reported:

Running Xubuntu 11.10 on a SONY VAIO notebook with Intel i5 and NVidia
GeForce GT 330M.

The Video driver is NVIDIA 280.13.

When selecting to "Suspend" from the Logout dialog the machine suspends
without any problems, i.e. var/log/pm-suspsend.log shows as the last
entry:

/etc/pm/sleep.d/novatel_3g_suspend suspend suspend: success.
Thu Jan 12 01:45:18 CET 2012: performing suspend

I don't see any "wake up" entries in this log file.

But when one wakes the machine by e.g. pressing any key on the keyboard
I see just about immediately the VAIO boot logo and then the GRUB2 menu
is displayed.

I previously was running with 10.10 and suspend was working without
problems.

Tried e.g. the following without any change.

Please let me know if I need to provide more details (log files etc
etc).
