Public bug reported: not really sure whats going on, but I found 30GB of logs in kern.log messages and syslog, computer was reset before this from sluggish performance, and problem has no reoccured. I've truncated the files, but compressed parts of the start of the thrashing is still on my disk, i will include the very tail of the files here.
