The package affected by this bug will soon be removed from the Kubuntu
development series (9.04). Since there is little hope that this issue
gets ever resolved I am closing this bug report as invalid.

Funny, I'm running Hardy (on KDE3.5.x) and I don't see the menu item
there in the system settings -> appearance at all. Has it been moved to
somewhere else?
But anyway I would think that KDE4 doesn't have this problem, can
someone confirm?
