I can reproduce the bug when i copy a text with this kind of url:

When I try to save the document OO will crash.

I have still been unable to reproduce this and I copied 4 pages worth of
text and images into a document.

eMaX... copy a text that have links, images.. and so on... not simple text...
then try to save the file
This happen to me in every feisty herd 5 installation... and i have 20
wokstations.. so... (included amd64 version)
In console the only thing that shows when crash is:
terminate called

better. I have been unable to reproduce this with openoffice.org
version 2.2.0~rc3~oof680m10-0ubuntu3 . Could you please let us know
which specific version of openoffice.org you have installed? You can
check with 'dpkg -l

So, the same version as yours it seems that happen more often when
you copy images to from the website cause if you copy only text,
does not happen... so, maybe images and tables,
