Public bug reported: I have a dual screen (nVidia twinview) setup with two different sized screens. I have a large screen on the left (primary) and a small screen on the right (secondary). The small screen is at the bottom of the workspace, so that there is an inaccessible region in the top right corner of the workspace. Also I have two workspaces.
What happens is that compiz tries to stop the window leaving the screen (correct behaviour), and if you drag if along the top of the workspace, from the left screen to the right one it gets stuck at the edge. Ok so far, but if you keep moving you mouse to the right, and then *down* so that the window can now move onto the second screen it goes pretty wrong. The window jumps much further to the right than the pointer has travelled so that it is no longer under the pointer, but is off the screen (on the second workspace!) Pretty damn annoying. Especially when moving large windows. This isn't a dupe of #876575. ** Affects: compiz (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/923509 Title: Windows jump around when moved between different sized screens.
