I am running KUBUNTU 11.04 beta, 2012-04-09 daily build. This problem does not affect the Konsole terminal program in KDE as of that build: I have the US, Spanish (ES), and Maori (mao) layouts installed, and all 3 layouts work properly. So only the xfce and gnome terminal programs have this
