Marking fixed, as apt-index-watcher is no longer in use. From a debian bug
report:
"apt-index-watcher has finally disappeared, and the new libapt-front
isn't building it anymore.
We implemented a better index update mechanism in libept, and
updated libapt-front to make use of it.
apt-index-watch
oh, I just started the install in a chroot, then edited my menu.lst to
include the new install)
