By the looks of the symptoms, I had the same problem with the config
file; it had overwritten /etc/wifi-radar.conf with an empty file and
then would refuse to run.
Curiously, and contrary to what the documentation says, it didn't seem
to be able to recreate the file from scratch, so simply removin

Oh, and... wifi-radar is program with GUI. If you want it to run in
console, run it with 'sudo wifi-radar -d'. But first, check
your /etc/wifi-radar.conf, like I suggested in previous comment.

Could you switch to konsole (ctrl+alt+f1) and start wifi-radar, then,
when kernel crashes, take a picture of screen? If you can do that, then
add picture here. Thanks.
