Public bug reported:

I have this chip in my 3 year old Raon Digital Everun Note laptop. It has never
worked stably with network-manager (since Ubuntu 8.10). In 12.04 alpha the
network-manager even hangs so severely, that it can't be stopped.
network-manager should include a black list for unsupported chips to keep the
system usable.
In my laptop the Marvell chip is connected to a
SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd R5C822 SD/SDIO/MMC/MS/MSPro Host Adapter (rev
24)
Drivers are sdhci sdhci-pci libertas libertas-sdio.
The chip works perfectly with wpa_supplicant. (But in all older (K)ubuntus I
have it used it may still be crashed when using throughput monitors like kwlan.
Still need to verify this in 12.04 or has any progress been made?)
