I should add that [EMAIL PROTECTED] is not an email address, even when an
email address follows that format, it is widely used for many other

That wasn't a previous requirement and it makes for a less-foolproof
design/setup. A user account *can* be an email address but isn't
always; the backend of Kopete (hidden from the user) should tack on the
server to the username on its own, without requiring the user to know to
do this...

the server name listed under server settings. So if your server is
foo.myfoodomain.com and your user is nikhilk, your user should be
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

the _, no "@xyz.com". But Kopete wont let me move
head unless I enter something like [EMAIL PROTECTED] How do I get around
this? Other Jabber clients like Spark, Gaim are happy with just the
