I have an Ati radeon X1550 with dual monitor support. under ubuntu 7,
the ati driver does not seem to work.

under restricted driver manager, i could install the driver, but never
set it as used. now that i rebooted a few times, i get a message telling
me that 'Your hardware does not need any restricted drivers.'.

but, i setill lhave the mesa driver selected.:
