Hrm, that does pose a bit of an issue. Lets tentatively keep this bug
open in case anyone else still does have the hardware and is able to
test. Otherwise, we'll just let the Launchpad Janitor expire this one.

I reinstalled Feisty with the CD images 20070415 (RC Candidate). Now

I got the network/sound error after updating from 2.6.17-11 to 2.6.20-15
. It is on an Athlon 2400+ box on a MB called ECS K7S5A (V1.1).
I booted back to the previous kernel and added a network manager applet
to the panel changed Eth0 to lo and in some way it connected to the
d-link router.
Sound is borken on my notebook, too. Network is okay.
$ uname -a
Linux silverbook 2.6.20-15-generic #2 SMP Sat Apr 14 00:54:01 UTC 2007 i686
GNU/Linux
I attached the lspci -vvnn output.
Is there a work around? Does I need only use the old kernel for working
sound?

It tried the old kernel from the beta 5 cd and it don't work. With the
installation form the beta 5 CD sound had worked for me out of the box.
