When I start cheese in a terminal and then click onto "Take a Photo" in
the terminal I get the error

You should run "make maintainer-clean-generic" before building package.

Now that I'm back in my dorm room and ran all available updates, I can
confirm this issue now also occurs on my desktop using Nouveau on
integrated NVIDIA graphics. I won't add another backtrace unless you
think it's necessary, though.

from a function internal to the MainWindow class. The only problem that I can
