Public bug reported: Unity writes the 'average-bg-color' key in dconf whenever the background changes and also on login. dconf is not an IPC mechanism nor is it a good place for transient state information and particularly the write on login leads to increased boot time (because the dconf-service must be started).
Please find another way of dealing with this. A property on the root window might make sense. ** Affects: unity (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: dconf-write -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/949277 Title: unity should not use dconf to store the average background colour To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/unity/+bug/949277/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
