By design, this doesn't happen automatically. You have to go to
Preferences -> Calendar -> General, and manually set the time zone. I'd
recommend attaching the upstream bug here from
https://bugzilla.mozilla.org if the feature request exists. If not,
create it there and then link here so we can

calendar extension is included in this move?
