You don't have a printer configured.
Please setup your LaserJet 1000 using the foo2zjs driver, you probably need to
install the firmware of your printer as described in bug #96454.

here the log files - i just installed feisty from the monday (2.4.07)
iso image. same result. the printer is seen and detected by cups, but
nothing is printed. the job stays in the queue as 'job-printing).
(i saw in another instance that a probem with
'authentication/autorization' was logged?
sorry, i just realize that my mail with the report of details of the
printing problems (as described in the wiki) was not sent. i will redo
it tomorrow!
