Workaround this way:
1) Closed LibreOffice
2) moved ~/.config/libreoffice/3/user/registrymodifications.xcu to
~/.config/libreoffice/3/user/registrymodifications.xcu.bak
3) Started LibreOffice again (Calc)
4) Opened a file, modified and saved it
5) Recent
Thats interesting. Had same bug (Mint12).
Removed HOME/.config/libreoffice/3/user/registrymodifications.xcu.
I then closed L-O and it wrote the registry file again. Same bug
So I CLOSED L-Office, deleted Go to registrymodifications.xcu
Started up L-office and it wrote the file on startup and

Same problem with 3.5.2 on Windows XP.
1) I completely uninstalled and re-installed LO.
2) Created and saved a new file.
3) Closed and re-opened LO.
4) Looked at Recent Files list. It was empty.
I then deleted the folder C:\Documents and Settings\[user]\Application
Data\LibreOffice

Running LibreOffice 3.5.1.2 on Ubuntu 12.04 LTS Beta 2 and this bug
still occurs - when I open a file, close it and then go to Recent
Documents, the list is always empty. And I have just updated my
LibreOffice package to the latest version yesterday night. So I propose
to change the status of the
metjush, did you download LO from their website or are you using LO from the
Ubuntu repos? Please execute the following at the Terminal and attach the
results to this bug:
lsb_release -rd apt-cache policy libreoffice-writer

Apparently there is a fix for this bug released in LO 3.5.1 but I did
not test it. (see comment 17 of link [2] below)
