** Description changed:
For me the sleep feature stopped working when updating to 10.04 (I
remember it very clearly) and it has been broken every since.
It tries to sleep, but it gets stuck somewhere in the process. The
screen goes black with a blinking cursor, but nothing more
The suspend works if I unload tmp_tis before! I've added it to the
SUSPEND_MODULES list in /etc/pm/config.d/modules.

Sorry for the sassy comment, but your answer was not much more helpful though.
The instructions are not to difficult, but building thousands of kernel commits
to pinpoint a specific one do feel like a huge waste of time when someone with
knowledge of the subsystem (and the specific driver for

I just noticed this in my dmesg, and it occurs at boot time:
peter@zepto:~$ dmesg | grep -i 00:0a
[0.225825] pnp 00:0a: [mem 0xfed4-0xfed44fff]
[0.225828] pnp 00:0a: [io 0x004e-0x004f]
[0.225831] pnp 00:0a: [io 0x1670-0x167f]
[0.225837] pnp 00:0a: [irq 11]
[0.225891] pnp
But this broke in Ubuntu 10.04, I feel it could be quite painful to bisect
every kernel from 9.10 to now =)
Or even every commit from 9.10 to 10.04!
