Public bug reported:

Binary package hint: rasmol

 Interatomic distances shown by the Rasmol 'monitor' command are
incorrect! The problem can be reproduced, e.g., by displaying the file
from <http://www-jmg.ch.cam.ac.uk/stuff/alkanes/c16.pdb> and entering
'monitor 1 2': 2.04 Angtroms is echoed, instead of the correct 1.54. FYI
I include a saved (and edited for brevity) script to also reproduce the
behavior from the command line.

 Version: 2.7.2.1.1, my system is Ubuntu-dapper AMD64:
>uname -a
Linux adm02 2.6.15-27-amd64-generic #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Dec 8 17:50:54 UTC 2006
x86_64 GNU/Linux

#!rasmol -script
# File: debug
# Creator: RasMol Version 2.7.2.1.1

zap
load pdb "c16.pdb"

select (atomno>=1) and (atomno<=2)
label "%i"
# Monitors
set monitors on
monitor 1 2
