This make useless selection of v4l1 driver:

Is that something that should be done to in the package itself? Sounds
like something that would equally affect Debian.

FFe: Sync gnomeradio 1.8-2 (universe) from Debi
Actually, the changelog in teh description is misleading. 1.8-1 was in
natty, and it got removed from Ubuntu because it wasn't compatible with
GNOME 3. Now 1.8-2 has apparently fixed this.

It's a new package, so the risk is low. Please build, install, and test
the current Debian package on current precise, and attach a build log.
If that works, I'm fine with a sync.

Gnomeradio is a FM-radio tuner for the GNOME desktop
Reason why I want:
1. It should work with every FM tuner card that is supported by video4linux.
2. Remote controls are supported via (optional) LIRC-support.
3. Gnomeradio can also record radio using GStreamer.
4. Not always have internet acc
Most importantly, they are the only applications that play FM radio
(without internet conection) in ubuntu (gnome).
