Public bug reported:
Mouseover highlighting on dropdown and right click menu entries is not
working properly. Right now, only the first entry on a dropdown list
will highlight orange properly, whereas they all should highlight
orange. The menu entries work fine when clicked, they just do not
highlight, letting you know that you are hovered over the item.
I believe it is localized to gnome application menus, as it will
malfunction on the unified menubar as well as right clicking on the
desktop, but it will work fine in applications such as firefox or
libreoffice that do not use the standard gtk/gnome interface.
