often, that's only a small annoyance though since the applet can be

Heya, I'm glad to test the bug for you, but I'm not sure how to replicate
it. It has only happened once, and then when logging in (I'm not really sure
how to get valgrind to go at this point). Not knowing how to reproduce the
error, I'm afraid I might not be of any help...

Thanks for your bug report. The crash looks like a memory corruption.
Could you try to get a valgrind log for it (you can follow the
instructions from https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Valgrind for that)?
