I don't think so.
This line is reported by the asus_acpi module because my notebook is not
supported by the module included in the ubuntu kernel. And therefore specific
functionalities are not available.
I may compile a newer version of the asus_acpi module but I don't think
it makes any differ
I'm fishing a little, but this line in dmesg is suspicious: 'send
/proc/acpi/dsdt to the developers'. Have you checked for BIOS updates
for this motherboard? The current BIOS version is 2.5 years old.

It still does not work. my system is up-to-date and the modules aren't
loaded. This fix has hit the repos, hasn't it ?
