There are two bugs here.
The first one is going to be fixed (See bug #84007) in feisty-updates and Gutsy.
So I put this as a duplicate of bug #124437, that is the issue of second bug.

I also have this bug - Wanted to add that I deactivated the default profile
(ogg format) and now sound juicer tells me to select a profile each time. I
cant seem to reactivate the profile, and so can't test a
