Title:
Unity 2D Panel fails to start due to "Settings schema
I suppose it was but as you can tell it must have been removed or damaged
during an update. To fix should I perform
apt-get install unity-2d-common?

I executed apt-get install unity-2d-common, and it install successfully.
I typed in unity-2d-panel and I now have my panel back. Thanks! Just so
you know when I typed that in I got
unity-2d-panel: [DEBUG] Scanning panel plugin directory
"/usr/lib/unity-2d/plugins/panel"
unity-2d-panel: [DEBUG] L
You need unity-2d-common, which should be installed as a dependency of
unity-2d-panel.
