Yes, I did in fact get a response. It didn't rate highly on the
helpfulness scale, though. (read: didn't help at all)
..but yeah, the man page explicitly says that running it is unnecessary,
unless the db has been corrupted somehow, in which case -- of course --
it's quite useful.
