With rhythmbox 2.98, whenever there is an audio CD in my drive,
rhythmbox just crashes. I think it happens when it tries to retrieve
track titles.

Here's a log when starting Rhythmbox from Terminal with Audio CD in
drive and mounted. Seems like it loses access to the CD or something.

rhythmbox sees cd and immediately loses it

I see this problem with a regular internal CD drive. Insert Audio CD ->
Rhythmbox does show it for a few seconds, then it disappears from
Rhythmbox. Readding by opening it results in the same behavior -> CD
displayed in Rhythmbox for a few seconds then disappears. This way I
cannot copy the music t
