Public bug reported: I am using Feisty Fawn (updated to the latest packages) on an IBM/Lenovo ThinkPad X60s which has a wireless chip supported through the ipw3945 driver.
Until about two weeks ago I had no problems with the wireless with Feisty Fawn. After boot/login I now have no network connection. Running ifconfig and iwconfig manually using the same settings configured in /etc/network/interfaces the connection immediately becomes active. I am not using NetworkManager (disabled in GNOME/System/Preferences/Session). ** Affects: Ubuntu Importance: Undecided Status: Unconfirmed -- Wireless connection not activated after boot/login https://launchpad.net/bugs/96861 -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
