They look similar, but my situation was manifested only if window was aligned bottom left. I'm not familiar with inner workings of Unity, but this could be the same bug. I'm currently not on 12.04, but I can do test again this afternoon (it's morning for me), and I'll post results. -- You receive

This bug is present even if launcher isn't set to autohide. If the application is positioned below the launcher, like on the screenshoot, same thing happens when switching to application on another desktop, and then trying to switch to previous application. So, I guess it isn't autohide's fault. *
