Same problem here. Using Ubuntu Feisty and a Tungsten T2. Adding due
dates on the to do list items does seem to work around the problem,
although it is slightly annoying.

I am using Ubuntu Feisty. I have/had a similar problem - try adding due
dates to all your to-do list items and see if that lets you sync. This
workaround works for me, and I suspect it should help find/fix the
problem.
