Peter, sorry. This is almost certainly no problem with aiccu, but with your
installation (maybe some dpkg-databases are corrupt or such?)
I'll mark this error als invalid as far as aiccu is concerned.

Peter, you have not edited /etc/aiccu.conf after updating aiccu?
aiccu does start correctly, as far as I can see.
Your Problem has been documented only twice, both times something with mysql,
