I'm setting this back to Confirmed. I changed the tuxpaint dependency from a Suggests to a Depends so tuxpaint will always be available. However, this should really just be a temporary solution until we can get at the root of the problem. If people have experienced hangs or crashes when starting tu

I can confirm this. Gcompris hangs and if you have started it full screen, as is the default, you're in for a alt-backspace or alt-ctrl-del measure. However, if you, from the command line, do sudo apt-get install tuxpaint all your worries vanish. Apparently, tuxpaint is not installed by default,
