I can't reproduce it anymore in nightly of 12.10. I guess it is fixed.

I cannot reproduce this with the latest unity-greeter in 12.04 or 12.10.
Can you try again?
Also it's possible that I'm not understanding the error, but my
indicators work fine after login. Can you post a screen shot if you can
repro this?
Here's my 12.04 version:
12.04 : unity-greeter

To replicate:
1. Login to greeter with onscreen keyboard only.
2. Attempt to access Indicator menus after logging in.
- 3. Menus pull down but firt itme is selected.
+ 3. Menus pull down but first item is selected.
4. Bug disappears after physical keyboard is use
