VLC fetching is just more thorough in newer version. Being slower is
thus not really a bug. Of course, VLC should not fetch everything as it
does, but that is not a regression from Ubuntu 11.10. It has been like
that ever since VLC has had UPnP.

That's bad for ubuntu as multimedia os, within 11.10 totem coherence was
suspended so there are no other choices. Coherence was massive faster
than vlc. UPNP is growing very fast, we need a good software for this.
