It does it systematically on my netbook running xubuntu 12.04. Right
after launching it, the system becomes completely unresponsive. Going to
try whether the new 4.0 fixes it.

Forgot to mention my system is a Lenovo X220 laptop with the i5 2540 cpu
and 4 gb of ram.
System is brand new, less than 75 hours use and less than 10 battery
cycles.
