Public bug reported: doing software updates for samba-common Muon prompted with "What do you want to do about modified configuration file smb.conf?"
I first chose "show the differences between the versions", i looked at the diff output and i think the option was "Continue". It returned to the same Muon software updates screen with the same prompt. I then chose "show a side-by-side difference between the versions". At this point the Muon interface screen "locked up". The Back and Continue buttons are grey'd out and nothing is happening. my system is a fresh build in the last 7 days: :~$ uname -a Linux kmnix 3.0.0-17-generic #30-Ubuntu SMP Thu Mar 8 20:45:39 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux looking at the system monitor all processes, tree view i find: qaptworker qaptworker dpkg frontend samba-common.po ucf - - - - - - kmulder@kmnix:~$ lsb_release -rd Description: Ubuntu 11.10 Release: 11.10 kmulder@kmnix:~$ apt-cache policy muon muon: Installed: 1.2.1-0ubuntu1 Candidate: 1.2.1-0ubuntu1 Version table: *** 1.2.1-0ubuntu1 0 500 http://us.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ oneiric/main amd64 Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status ** Affects: muon (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to muon in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/980785 Title: Muon Software Updates hangs after side-by-side request To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/muon/+bug/980785/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-b...@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
