Public bug reported: The command:-
gphoto --capture-image-and-download used to take a photo from my Canon EOS 350D and download it over USB to my computer. When I upgraded to Ubuntu 12.04 Beta this stopped working. The camera takes the photo, but then gphoto hangs. If I use Ctl-C to stop gphoto, I get:- ERROR: Could not get image. ERROR: Buggy libcanon.so? gphoto is at version 2.4.11-2 ProblemType: Bug DistroRelease: Ubuntu 12.04 Package: gphoto2 2.4.11-2 ProcVersionSignature: Ubuntu 3.2.0-23.36-generic-pae 3.2.14 Uname: Linux 3.2.0-23-generic-pae i686 ApportVersion: 2.0.1-0ubuntu2 Architecture: i386 Date: Fri Apr 13 19:41:11 2012 InstallationMedia: Ubuntu 12.04 LTS "Precise Pangolin" - Beta i386 (20120411) ProcEnviron: LANGUAGE=en_GB:en TERM=xterm PATH=(custom, no user) LANG=en_GB.UTF-8 SHELL=/bin/bash SourcePackage: gphoto2 UpgradeStatus: No upgrade log present (probably fresh install) ** Affects: gphoto2 (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Tags: apport-bug i386 precise -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/981062 Title: gphoto fails to download image from camera To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gphoto2/+bug/981062/+subscriptions -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list ubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs
