Public bug reported: When using the desktop install the installer just terminates in the middle of the install. This happens after all data has been input. Basically after the username / password has been typed in.
I've run the installer then in a terminal but there is no error output and none of the log files shows any error. I've used then the alternate install and that ran without any problems.
