The legacy driver does not support texture_to_pixmap [1]. It went into maintenance mode years before this extension arrived. texture_to_pixmap was only introduced with the 93xx series of drivers (what has now become nvidia-glx). The only way to get compiz going on such cards is via XGL. http://lis

Presumably the legacy driver needs some special options in xorg.conf to work with compiz. Alternatively, if it really cannot work with compiz, then r-m's --check-composite needs to return a code that tells d-e to not proceed. I do not have a legacy card, so this needs community testing/feedback. T
