When I start Ubuntu from power off, the system will not complete booting
and stops right before the logon screen comes up. All the prompts about
mounting disks etc occurs and is displayed but when the screen goes
blank the unit just sits there and never brings up the logon sc

better. Could you try booting your system in rescue mode so we can get
some more information about where it hangs during the boot process? Thanks in

Naturally, it will not do it now. I will get back to you when I can
display the symptom and record where it hangs.
I am currently working with the Feisty beta in Xubuntu. I like the
lighter load this version puts on my memory since I only have 256Meg in
the machine.

operationg systems but have only been using various Ubuntu versions for
