Actually the standalone activity-log-manager is not meant for Ubuntu in
the first place. Ubuntu is supposed to use activity-log-manager-panel,
whereas the former is meant for non-Ubuntu which don't allow additional
panels in System Settings and in non-elementary OS which don't have
switchboard. The
My instinct was to call the standalone activity-log-manager "Ubuntu
Privacy" to distinguish it from the Privacy panel built-in to GNOME
Settings 3.8. I don't know what you should do for other distros though.

I think either the clock or the safe would be fine for Backup, but
neither of them make any sense for Privacy. That needs a new icon --
perhaps a hotel doorhanger, perhaps a padlock, perhaps something else.

yes, i noticed this too.
You would think that privacy would be the icon of the safe, and that
privacy would be the arrow around around the clock.
I also think that the sound icon would make more sense if it was a
speaker or something, not a knob.
