This also affects i386 bulds too.
This also happens to me on Ubuntu 12.10 32bit. For no reason sometimes
trackpoint does not work since boot. Trackpoint buttons do not work
also. Notebook is the same Lenovo Thinkpad X121e, AMD E-300.

I also own a Thinkpad x121e (AMD E-450) and just for the records: This
bug affects me too.
It occured on my device with (X)Ubuntu 12.04 from the last Beta until
now . Not using automatic login I can observe the UltraNav (trackpoint
and buttons) as well as the touchpad not working immediatly in
